Queens of the Stone Age starten erste Tour seit fünf Jahren: Fotos + Setlist

Queens of the Stone Age starteten am Donnerstagabend (3. August) im Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan, ihre erste Headliner-Tour durch Nordamerika seit fünf Jahren.

Die Tour mit dem Titel „The End Is Nero Tour“ ist in zwei Etappen unterteilt, wobei die erste bis zum 19. August läuft und die zweite am 16. September startet und mit einem Auftritt am 8. Oktober beim Aftershock Festival in endet Sacramento, Kalifornien. Tickets sind über Ticketmaster oder StubHub erhältlich.

Frontmann Josh Homme sagte kürzlich, er sei enttäuscht, wenn Bands ihre Hits nicht spielen, und er ließ die QOTSA-Fans sicherlich nicht im Stich, indem er die Show mit dem vielleicht bekanntesten Song der Band, „No One Knows“, eröffnete.

Das 18 Songs umfassende Set enthielt neben Favoriten wie „My God Is the Sun“, „Little Sister“ und „Go With the Flow“ auch vier Songs von QOTSAs neuem Album „In Times New Roman…“. Gegen Ende des Sets widmete Homme „God Is in the Radio“ dem verstorbenen QOTSA-Mitglied Mark Lanegan.
